Making a child anxious needlessly, over ill-proposed actions on our part, is indeed like a fawn’s blood in the snow, left because of a hunter’s careless shots.
I had similar thoughts when writing. I thought of a child’s innocence and our unpleasant feeling when we see blood in the snow knowing that someone’s innocence has been stolen forever, and no fault of the victim! I find it interesting that when I write you are so often thinking the same. I thought of this entry while farming on a warm fall afternoon in the midst of that ever so annoying time of year called “Hunting Season”. Thanks for responding.
