THINGS UNKNOWN TO OTHERS
An unattached apron
barely covers the longing
that exists between reality
and those transparent slippers.
Only our smallest feelings,
as those of nature’s living things,
sing praises to the rightness of our dreams
and validates the warmth of our being.

That say so much about this poem you’ve written. Good Word
I enjoyed this challenge. There is a lot in this picture….and so much more left to the imagination! I find these challenges refreshing.
Thanks for your comment as this helps me to see if I am getting it right. I felt good about this one, I am glad you did too.

Small feelings, big dreams–pretty good balance. Love the exquisite color drawing.
Great choice of words here to create a wonderful dreamy poem. Like the last line.
Thanks. That’s nice to hear when someone finds a particular wording they enjoy and in turn lets me know.

“Multiple lives” this is really good. I think I know what you mean, but maybe expound a little if you don’t mind. Thanks for your comment.

i’ve read around 5-6 poems on the same theme… yours was on the top 🙂
I am honoured you feel that way. May I never disappoint you!

I read this several times William and each time it just got more powerful. Makes one look at how life is like now and what we want it to be, but then after we’ve dreamed or escaped for a bit, we open our eyes and realize we could be much worse off. Dreaming is good, but reality can be pretty good too.
Thanks so much for sharing. Be blessed!
