morning shall come from a night full of waiting.

are sanctioned ‘neath red roses,
those things born in the heart and left homeless
should have their biddings for rest
amid yellow roses.
For when that day’s sunshine
slowly fades to night
those things of yellow roses
will be seen for white.

Hallowed are those faces seen kneeling to pray
Waiting are those faces for an earth’s new day

Sorrow is that chilly breeze
in that otherwise warm sunshine filled valley.
Hope is that tree sheltered steady ascent to the ridge.
Reality is that old worn bridge
across that fresh but cold water stream
leading to night-time uncertainties
where feet and soul
may need to be soaked in remembrance
of what one has endured thus far.
